Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical unit.
- May float to other units as needed.
- Occasional charge nurse responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York.
- Minimum 3 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- 8 hours of Stroke Training.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Additional Information
- COVID-19 vaccine proof or agency declination is optional but recommended.
- Annual requirements include physical, fit test, TB test, and influenza vaccine or declination.
- Must inform agency immediately of any failed fit tests.
- PAPR respirator provided if needed; fit testing can be done on-site.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
This position offers a 13-week long-term assignment on a day shift with opportunities to float to other units and occasional leadership duties.
