Description
Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)
Location: Northport, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care to stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients in a rehabilitation setting.
- Support patients in achieving improved functional ability and independence after acute hospital stays.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including physiatrists, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and rehab nurses.
- Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring and daily provider rounds.
- Utilize advanced therapy equipment such as body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and simulation vehicles to aid patient recovery.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Work schedule includes 36 or 48 hours per week, holidays as required, and every other weekend.
- This is a patient-facing, on-site clinical position.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Additional Information
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
- Parking available.
- Must be willing to float between units and hospitals.
