Registered Nurse - Rehab (Travel)

Location

  • Ottumwa, Iowa

Job Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

  • Unit: Acute Rehabilitation
  • Number of beds: 13
  • Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Patient ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
  • Equipment used: lift equipment
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech

Schedule

  • Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 (indicate preference upon submission)
  • Weekend hours: every other weekend
  • No call requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
  • Minimum 1 year of recent rehabilitation nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Acute care nursing experience
  • MedSurg experience (as needed for floating)

Experience & Skills

  • Required: 1-2 years acute care experience
  • Preferred: Travel nursing experience (not required)
  • Acceptable experience includes MedSurg, LTAC
  • Float to MedSurg as needed

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

  • Neurological conditions
  • Trauma
  • Burns
  • Gait training and strengthening
  • Wound vac management

  • Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
