Description
Occupational Therapist
Location
- Urbana, Illinois
Schedule
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Setting
- Inpatient acute care with inpatient rehab opportunities
- Approximately 500-bed Level 1 trauma center
- 20-bed inpatient rehab unit with a neuro-heavy caseload
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- BLS
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Role Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient response and evidence
- Perform patient examinations and screening to determine therapy needs
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, modifications, and patient responses
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the medical team throughout rehabilitation
- Provide supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians
- Use standardized outcome measures and support personnel appropriately
- Assist with patient transfers and use safe body mechanics
