Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Fort Mohave, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: PM
Hours per Week: 36 (weekly guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend (days on Saturday/Sunday, nights on Friday/Saturday)
Call Requirements: None
Unit & Facility Overview
- Labor & Delivery unit with 9 beds
- Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and neonates
- Patient ratios vary based on acuity
- Equipment includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, and syringe pumps
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: Med Host and Centricity
- Trauma Level 1, Well Baby Center
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with neonate patients and maternal-fetal patients
- Postpartum nursing experience
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) intermediate or advanced
- Ability to provide stable and safe patient care
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Centricity EHR system
- Experience with Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care
Skills & Experience
- Labor and postpartum nursing experience
- Care of well babies and stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
- Familiarity with common diagnoses such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
- Team player with a flexible schedule

- No float requirements
- No call duties
