Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Franklin, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description

• Requires at least 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
• NIH certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within a 40-mile radius as needed.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Onboarding includes completion of various assessments and attestations such as:

  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (done onsite).
  • Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules.
  • Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years).
  • Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty (updated annually).
• Must comply with all required documentation and testing prior to and during assignment.
• Optional: Unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of assignment start.

This position is ideal for experienced Medical/Surgical RNs with prior travel nursing experience who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment with potential floating responsibilities.
