Description
Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry
Location: Orangeburg, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Required to float within scope to like units or sister facilities
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Local Candidates: Accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Tele Competency: Required
- Preferred Experience: Previous charge experience and community hospital experience

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Orientation & Onboarding
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (approx. 4-6 hours) prior to start is mandatory
- Must complete and sign agency job description before starting
- Clear, passport-style badge photo required before start
- First Day Instructions and OurDay platform modules must be completed before orientation; failure to complete will result in being sent home
- COVID vaccination records preferred but not required; if declined, a vaccination declination form must be completed
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including:
- SSN Trace
- Statewide and national criminal checks
- Sex offender registry
- FACIS 3 and international searches if applicable
- Employment verification of last 3 clinical employers required
- Education verification required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if needed
- E-Verify attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
- OFAC Sanctions List search required prior to start
- South Carolina Medicaid Excluded Providers search required for subcontractors
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet job demands
- Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
- Annual TB questionnaire completion required
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Aug 1 – Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted but no declinations
- Respirator medical clearance annually for patient-facing staff
- COVID vaccines highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
