Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse, Emergency Room (Night Shift)
Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Job Description
- Provide care to patients with urgent, critical, or non-urgent conditions in the Emergency Department.
- Triage patients based on care needs and perform ongoing assessments.
- Deliver immediate interventions and discharge teaching.
- Care for diverse patient populations including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Collaborate on an interdisciplinary level and communicate effectively according to patients’ intellectual and physical abilities.
- Work every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Onboarding & Compliance
- Primary source verification of license and certifications required within 30 days of start date.
- Background and credential checks must be current and updated if breaks in employment exceed specified durations.
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any changes in start date.
- Education verification conducted through background check company.

- Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement.
- Contract length is interpreted as 13 weeks.
- This position requires working night shifts and every other weekend.
