Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Days (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

• Provide care to patients with urgent or critical illness, emergency care needs, and non-urgent treatment.
• Triage patients based on care requirements.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, immediate interventions, and discharge teaching.
• Care for diverse populations including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Collaborate on an interdisciplinary level, adapting communication to patients' intellectual and physical abilities.
• Work every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification.
• Successful completion of an Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam.
