    Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

    Location: Burlingame, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Summary

    Seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse proficient in:

    • Diagnostic cath lab procedures
    • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
    • Structural heart procedures
    • Electrophysiology

    Shift Details

    • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
    • Variable start times between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM
    • Weekend call required

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
    • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List checks as applicable
    • Education verification required; BSN preferred but not mandatory
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
    • Full 7 years of work history required on application with verification of employment
    • References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement)

    Certifications and Exams

    • BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
    • State RN license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
    • Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG if required)
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance for work
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Immunizations and titers:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titers or vaccines)
      • Hepatitis B series or declination
      • Varicella (titers or vaccines)
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Respiratory safety clearance prior to start, renewed annually

      • Vendor training and code of conduct (for contracts signed 5/31/24 and beyond)
