    Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Burlingame, California

    Job Summary

    Seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse proficient in diagnostic cath lab procedures, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), structural heart interventions, and electrophysiology.

    Shift Details

    • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (40 hours/week)
    • Variable start times between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM
    • Weekend call required

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
    • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check within 6 months of start, including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per California law)
    • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
    • Work history verification for up to 7 years required; gaps over 30 days must be explained
    • Two professional references required (within 3 years) for clinical candidates
    • Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, cleared for work
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years or lifetime TDAP with booster within 10 years
    • Negative TB test (QGold, TSPOT, or 2-step PPD) within 90 days, renewed annually
    • Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
      • Measles (Rubeola)
      • Mumps
      • Rubella
      • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
      • Varicella
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30)
    • Color blindness exam (in-person) if applicable
    • Respiratory safety clearance required annually
