Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Newton, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 06:30 AM – 07:00 PM
Schedule: Every other weekend; no holiday rotation
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room setting.
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid RN license in Iowa.
Certifications (must be current and uploaded)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association.
- TNCC.
- NIHSS.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit Test
- Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (9 or 10 panel, no THC; completed within 30 days of start)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of initiation required; titers not accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine (optional)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
- Varicella (proof of vaccination or IgG titer)
- Physical/Health Statement (exam within last year confirming fitness to work)
- Tdap vaccine (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
Professional and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years; SSN verification; dated within 30 days of start)
- Education Verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days; includes statewide check for MI
- Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)
- Iowa Sing Report (Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries; within 30 days prior to start)
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions check within 30 days
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form (signed)
- Trinity I9 form (completed by agency)
- Confidentiality and System Security Agreement (signed)
- Integrity and Audit Services Form (signed shortly before start)
- Non-Employee Upload Form (pages 1-3 and 28 completed)
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (signed)
- Joint Commission CORE Exam (within one year)
- Specialty Specific Competency Testing (within one year)
- Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
- System Access Form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
