Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
• Requires either:

  • 3+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience and previous travel experience, or
  • More than 5 years of experience in a large Emergency Department without travel experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is required (3+ years experience with previous travel or 5+ years in large ED without travel).
• Must be able to demonstrate competency in specialty through required exams and certifications.
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs with strong clinical skills, EPIC proficiency, and the ability to adapt to multiple sites within the region.
