Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 48
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel/contract assignment on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Ohio with primary source verification within 30 days of start. License must be current and renewed if expiring within 30 days of start.
- Experience: Minimum years of specialty experience not explicitly stated; assume standard RN competency for MS/Telemetry.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross; must be current at start.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for MS/Telemetry.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred but not required for this unit.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Not required for this specialty.
- Other certifications such as CNOR, CHEMO, TNCC are not required for this role.
- Background Checks:
- Comprehensive background check including 7-year FCRA compliant search, SSN trace, sex offender registry, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, education verification.
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months, updated annually. Must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions.
- Fit mask test (3M N95 1860 or 1870+) within 12 months, updated annually.
- Immunizations/vaccinations: Tdap (every 10 years), MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer), Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer), Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination), Flu vaccine (seasonal, no declinations accepted). Medical/religious exemptions require agency and facility approval.
- TB screening: Negative 2-step PPD, QGold, or TSPOT within 12 months or chest X-ray with annual questionnaire if history of positive.
- Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually. Instant drug screens not accepted.
- Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start.
- References: Two professional references from employment within the past year, from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse.
- Employment History: Application must include at least 3 years of prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area.
- Competency Testing: Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation required for all bedside RNs (except OR). Passing scores: 90% medication, 80% ECG. Retakes and remediation provided if needed. Not required for legacy candidates with less than 6-month gap between contracts.
- Onboarding Modules: Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start is mandatory. Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome and cannot be skipped.

- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment.
- Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, white background).
- Resume/CV with 3 years of work history required.
- Physical exam documentation must include provider address.
- Fingerprinting code: 4723.09 (Nursing).
- Candidates may start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
- Flu vaccine documentation must be submitted by November 30th for current candidates; new candidates onboarded between Nov 30 and Mar 31 must also submit.
