Description
Registered Nurse (Rehab) - Travel Position
Location: Northport, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a rehabilitation setting, working with patients recovering from stroke, hip fracture, pulmonary conditions, and other rehab needs.
- Participate as part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on improving patients' functional ability and independence.
- Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring and care by rehab nurses, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and physiatrists.
- Use advanced therapy equipment such as body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and simulation vehicles to aid patient recovery.
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Work schedule options include 36 or 48 hours per week, with holiday shifts required every other holiday.
- This is a patient-facing, on-site clinical role.
- Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
- Parking is available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in rehabilitation nursing within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Additional Information
- Must be willing to float between units and hospitals.
- Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
- This position is not remote.
- Timesheet approver roles are assigned but not relevant for candidate consideration.
