Description
Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing (Peak)
Shift: Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 11 weeks
Job Description
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive and developmental skills as appropriate.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, patients, families, and physicians to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Coordinate and delegate care delivery consistent with professional licensure and care guidelines.
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and reassess changes.
- Promote nursing professionalism and participate in the development of others.
- Comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and practice within scope of licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Minimum of 1 year of Oncology nursing experience, with Oncology experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, read, and assess patient needs and equipment labels.
- Frequent verbal communication and ability to hear alarms and spoken information clearly, especially in emergencies.
- Manual dexterity for handling complex equipment and frequent computer use for documentation.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, including heavy items and equipment.
- Ability to walk, push/pull gurneys and portable equipment, and navigate crowded environments safely.
- May be required to stand for extended periods.
- For roles involving driving: ability to operate a vehicle safely, including reading signs and traffic signals.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, no holidays or weekends.
- Potential for reduced hours during low census periods.
- Typical shifts are 9-10 hours long.
