Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Details

• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Floating to one other unit may be required
• No block scheduling or on-call duties
• Holiday coverage: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check including 7-year criminal history, PA PATCH search, and other state-specific checks
• Education verification (official transcript acceptable; diploma not accepted)
• Professional references: 2 within last 2 years
• Physical exam within 2 months of start date
• Fit test for N95 mask (3M 1870+ model) within 12 months prior to start (must be completed before start)
• Current Tdap vaccine or titer
• Negative TB test (Qgold or TSPOT within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive test history
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start; exemptions require mask-wearing at work
• Pass/fail basic dysrhythmia exam during orientation (one attempt only)
• Signed orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing acknowledgment

Additional Notes

• Modules assigned by education department must be completed prior to orientation (approx. 6 hours)
• Work history verification required (especially for NJ candidates, but applicable policies may vary)
• Pennsylvania-specific child abuse search and fingerprinting required within 12 months prior to start
• No PAPRs available on site; failure or refusal of fit test may result in contract cancellation
