Description

Echo Tech Position - Reno, Nevada

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, with experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Must have current professional license/certification verification relevant to Echo Technician role. Primary source verification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration.
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or direct supervisor
  • Up-to-date resume reflecting recent and accurate work history required at time of offer acceptance

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

  • Health and Immunizations:

    • COVID-19: Two vaccines plus booster or completed declination.
    • MMR: Proof of two vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B: Record of three immunizations, immune titer, or declination accepted.
    • Influenza Vaccine: Required or declination accepted during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31).
    • Varicella: Proof of two vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer.
    • Tdap: Required; declinations not accepted in some regions.
    • TB Test: Must be within one year of start date.
    • If PPD positive, a negative chest X-ray within 3 months is required.
  • Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed within 60 days of start, stating clearance to work.

  • Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel drug screen including THC within 60 days of start. For California locations, both a 10-panel urine test (excluding THC) and a psychoactive THC saliva test are required.

  • Background Check: National criminal background check within one year of start date. Some states and units require completion before assignment start.

  • Competency Testing:

    • Prime Core Competencies Exam: Must score 80% or higher.
    • Prime Specialty Exam: Must score 80% or higher.
    • Prime Skills Checklist: Must be completed.
  • Additional Onboarding Documents:

    • Prime Education Verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable).
    • Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
    • Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
    • Prime OIG exclusion search.
    • Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded).
    • Signed current job description (within the year).
    • Prime Orientation Packet (Essentials form and post-test).
    • Annual color-blind test.

Optional but Recommended

  • Respirator Fit Test (annual; required prior to start if not done onsite).
  • Badge Photo (clear headshot, facility-specific).
  • Name Verification Affidavit (if name discrepancies exist).
  • Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray documentation (if applicable).
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA) not required for per-diem needs.

This position requires compliance with all listed health, licensing, and competency requirements prior to and during employment.
