Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology
Location
- Elko, Nevada
Employment Type
- Travel assignment
Contract Length
- 8 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Rotating weekend call from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- No weekend hours scheduled outside of call
Unit and Patient Information
- Adult Echocardiography department on Floor 1
- Trauma Level 4 (rural)
- Facility has 75 beds
- Patient load: approximately 5 outpatients per day (one-hour scheduled slots) plus 1-3 inpatients daily
- Equipment used: GE E95 ultrasound machine
- Electronic Health Record system: Medhost VidiStar
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult echocardiography within the last year
- Certifications required:
- ARDMS (AE) Adult Echocardiography or CCI (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)
- Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program
Skills and Experience
- Proficient in:
- Routine Echocardiography
- Stress Echocardiography
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Contrast (Definity) Administration
- Agitated Saline Studies
Additional Information
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Orientation sessions held weekly on Mondays
- Professional scrub attire required; camo patterns are not acceptable
- Personality fit: self-starter
Call and Float
- Rotating weekend call required (8 AM to 8 PM)
- No float requirements
