Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Torrance, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Cath Lab for a travel/contract position. The role involves recovery of cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, PFO, CTOs, and electrophysiology procedures including pacemakers, BiV, AICD, and Cryo.
Schedule
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- On-call: 1-2 nights per week
- Weekend: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks
- Floating: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in ICU (Intensive Care Unit), ED (Emergency Department), or PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Two supervisory or higher references required within one year of start (one from current/most recent employer, one from second most recent). One reference can be pending at start with approval.
- Current resume or application covering all cities and states lived/worked in the past 7 years; gaps over 30 days must be explained.
- Background checks including SS trace, county searches (last 7 years), nationwide sex offender check, and education verification.
- Primary source verification of CA RN license within 30 days prior to start; renewal plan required if license expires during contract.
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, updated annually (excluding marijuana/THC panel starting 1/1/24).
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start with approved N95 masks (not required for sterile processing techs).
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (if history of positive TB)
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination/declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination required for 2025-2026 season (no declinations accepted for registry)
- COVID vaccine or facility-specific declination form
- Mandatory facility-specific trainings and acknowledgments prior to start, including:

- Social Media Policy
- Conflict of Interest Policy
- Standards of Behavior
- Timekeeping Acknowledgement
