Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) - Wisconsin

Job Details

• Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours per Day: 10 hours
• Hours per Week: 32 hours
• Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week, plus call 2 nights per week and one weekend every 4th weekend
• Call Requirements:

  • Weeknights: 2 per week
  • Weekends: 1 every 4th weekend
  • Holidays: 1 call each during summer and winter
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Occasionally to Interventional Radiology for pain cases, Emergency Department, or hospital floor for extra support

Work Environment

• Operating Rooms: 6 OR suites plus 2 GI suites
• Cases per Day: 10 to 30
• Common Cases: Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA), Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF), Robotic Cholecystectomy, Robotic Hernia Repair, Cataracts, GI Endoscopies, Podiatry
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner
• Scrubbing Required: Yes (for RNs)
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Grey scrubs provided

Required Certifications and Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• First Assist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Orthopedics experience
• Experience with robotic procedures
