Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - SICU (Travel/Contract)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Shift: Day Shift (3 shifts of 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every Saturday and Sunday day shift, plus one additional day each week
• Floating and call responsibilities required
• Documentation system: Epic
• Medication systems: Pyxis, Accudose, Omnicell
• Communication method: SBAR

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU

Additional Requirements & Information

• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)
• Parking options available with varying costs and shuttle services (details provided onsite)
• Fit mask testing required annually for inpatient/patient-facing roles starting 7/13/2026 and beyond; onsite fit testing available if needed
• Immunization and health document requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
  • Annual TB questionnaire in lieu of annual TB test renewal
  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella
  • Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (signed declination acceptable)
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions require documentation)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declining
• COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended

Compliance & Credentialing Notes

• Fingerprinting results must be obtained prior to start; new fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days or results are older than 1 year
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
• Facility requires strict adherence to background check and credentialing processes, including review of all background hits (including dismissed charges)
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and complete required training and documentation prior to or at start
