Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
  • 8 hours of call per week
  • Every 3rd weekend on call and/or working
  • Schedule may flex up to 3 weeks out of every 6 weeks, including evenings and nights
  • Shift hours: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio
  • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
  • Operating Room experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Fit Test for N95 respirators or PAPR (annual requirement)
  • Immunizations and proof of immunity or vaccination:
    • MMR (2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer)
    • Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer)
    • Hepatitis B series or declination accepted
    • Tdap required if working with infants or expectant mothers
  • TB Test (QuantiFERON/T-Spot or 2-step skin test) completed within 30 days prior to start; chest X-ray if past positive
  • Physical/Health Statement within 1 year
  • Drug Screen (9-panel, excluding marijuana) completed within 90 days prior to start; must be repeated with any break in service
  • Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (optional, with exemptions considered)

Professional and Onboarding Requirements

  • Current valid driver’s license or government-issued ID (front side only) matching profile address
  • Criminal background check completed within 90 days prior to start, including 7-year county and national checks, SSN trace, and sex offender registry
  • Two professional references from a charge nurse or higher within the last 2 years
  • Highest level of education verified (transcripts or third-party verification accepted)
  • Recent color badge photo (taken within last 6 months, no selfies or filters, solid background)
  • Skills checklist current within 12 months prior to start, specific to the position
  • Internal competency checklist to be completed within 2 weeks after start date
  • Annual compliance training module completed and certificate uploaded
  • I-9 E-Verify attestation required
  • Resume submission required

Additional Notes

  • Specialty and pharmacology exams are recommended but optional; must be completed within 365 days prior to start with an 80% pass rate if taken
  • Compliance with all onboarding and credentialing requirements is mandatory for assignment clearance and continuation
