RN - PACU

Location: Golden, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evenings, rotating 10-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40 hours
On-Call: Weeknight and weekend call required

Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
• Provide health teaching and counseling.
• Deliver supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources effectively.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency.
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of Registered Nursing experience.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required).
• Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state of practice (single state or compact license accepted).
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) – Required
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) – Required
  • PALS (American Heart Association) – Required
• Must be able to perform both pre-op and PACU nursing duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Additional certifications appropriate for the unit or service preferred.
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
