ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Charlottesville, Virginia

Job Overview

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Setting

Float Pool position covering various ICU and intermediate care units, including:
- Medical ICU
- Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
- Coronary Care Unit
- Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
- Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
- Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
- Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
- Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
- Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
- ED Boarders (patients admitted but boarding in ED prior to room assignment)

Schedule and Time Off

Night shifts only
Every other weekend and every other holiday off
Time off restrictions:
- No time off approved for 4th of July or between July 12-19
- No return to work (RTO) approved during the first 2 weeks of assignment
- Up to 40 hours of time off can be approved (block scheduling not guaranteed)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
