Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Bay City, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12 hours
Job Description
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout the hospital stay.
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications, including IVs.
- Manage wound care and specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions.
- Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take prompt action to stabilize patients before emergencies occur.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- Facility uses Cerner EMR system.
- Dress code: Navy Blue attire.
- Shift length: 12 hours per night.
