- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty (Ambulatory Surgery/Critical Care)
- Prior travel experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
Job Responsibilities and Skills
- Involve patients and/or significant others in care decisions
- Assess and document educational needs and learning abilities of patients/families during admission and ongoing assessments
- Document nursing diagnoses, interventions, and goals/outcomes with target dates in the care plan
- Perform patient handoffs using safety tools (e.g., SBAR, Report at Bedside) for shift-to-shift and interdepartmental communication
- Maintain effective communication through the chain of command
- Communicate subjective and objective patient/family data with multidisciplinary team members
- Stay current with unit huddles, emails, and other communications
- Facilitate communication of pertinent findings and participate in physician rounds
- Participate in process improvement activities such as data collection, in-services, and meetings
- Float to other units as required

Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Ambulatory Surgery experience
- Pre-Op experience
- PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Driver's License
