RN - First Assist (Endovascular OR) - Travel Assignment

Position Details

• Specialty: Endovascular Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (06:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: On-call 24 hours per day on weekends (no call requirements during shifts)
• Float: As needed to other OR units

Job Description

• Circulate and/or scrub procedures in the Endovascular OR/Endovascular Lab.
• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort.
• Utilize the nursing process in perioperative practice, including thorough patient assessment and documentation.
• Collaborate with surgical team to develop and implement perioperative nursing care plans.
• Supervise personnel to ensure readiness and timeliness for surgical procedures.
• Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy, asepsis, infection control, wound healing, and hemostasis techniques.
• Maintain professional accountability and adhere to nursing practice guidelines and standards.
• Follow strict OR attire and aseptic technique policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• First Assist experience, including at least 1 year of experience
• First Assist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification.
• Scrub experience preferred.
