RN - First Assist (Endovascular OR) - Travel Assignment
Location
- Saint Louis, Missouri
Position Details
- Specialty: Endovascular Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)
- Employment Type: Travel
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (06:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: On-call 24 hours per day on weekends (no call requirements during shifts)
- Float: As needed to other OR units
Job Description
- Circulate and/or scrub procedures in the Endovascular OR/Endovascular Lab.
- Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort.
- Utilize the nursing process in perioperative practice, including thorough patient assessment and documentation.
- Collaborate with surgical team to develop and implement perioperative nursing care plans.
- Supervise personnel to ensure readiness and timeliness for surgical procedures.
- Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy, asepsis, infection control, wound healing, and hemostasis techniques.
- Maintain professional accountability and adhere to nursing practice guidelines and standards.
- Follow strict OR attire and aseptic technique policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- First Assist experience, including at least 1 year of experience
- First Assist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- CNOR certification.
- Scrub experience preferred.

- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Position requires adherence to professional standards including confidentiality, patient rights, and organizational mission and values.
