Registered Nurse (RN) - OR Circulator (General & Neuro Surgery)

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Role: Circulating RN in the Operating Room
• Specialty: Primarily Neuro Surgery with General Surgery cases including Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedics
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week (10-hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Call: Rotating weekend call approximately every 6-7 days; scheduled late shifts designated to stay late if needed
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided black scrubs only

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of OR circulating RN experience within the last year
• Neurosurgery experience
• Urology experience
• Orthopedic surgery experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Driver's License

Unit & Patient Information

• Surgical patients primarily in Neuro and General Surgery specialties
• Equipment used: DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, Beach Chair
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC

Work Environment & Expectations

• Focus on perioperative patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Acts as patient advocate throughout surgical procedures
• Must be flexible with case types, hardworking, and a team player

• This is not an auto-offer position
• Facility is a 244-bed hospital serving a large regional population
• Weekend hours are not regularly scheduled outside of call requirements
