- 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process.
- Perform responsibilities specific to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum 3 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
