Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) with experience in critical care patients.
• Must be able to care for psychiatric and pediatric patient populations.
• Work schedule is every other week (EOW) or based on department needs; every other hour (EOH) rotating with regular staff.
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills required.
• Ability to escalate concerns appropriately and seek support to ensure patient safety.
• Must demonstrate strong team collaboration and clear, timely communication.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of 2 or more travel nursing assignments
• Certifications:

  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NIH Certification
  • MOAB (Medication Administration and Observation Badge)
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid Driver’s License

Additional Notes

• Onboarding includes completion of required education attestations and contract worker onboarding modules.
• Some optional certifications and checklists may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding.
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be required based on staffing needs.
