Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Wisconsin

Job Details

• Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40 hours
• On-Call: Required 1 to 2 days per week and every third weekend
• Rotation: Includes PACU department rotation
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
• Charting System: Epic (preferred, not required)
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience with a minimum of 1 year, including experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

• Background Check: 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• References: Two professional references verified within 2 years; for inpatient RNs, one must be from the most recent acute care assignment with performance comments
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days of start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct-Mar)
• Photo: Passport-style photo required for badge
• Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology competency and other specialty-specific competency exams as applicable

Work Environment & Other Notes

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Flu vaccine exemptions require facility-specific exemption forms
• Facility requires confidentiality agreement and compliance checklist completion prior to start

This position is suitable for RNs with cath lab experience seeking a travel contract in an acute care hospital setting with a 13-week commitment and day shift schedule. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
