Telemetry Registered Nurse
Location
- San Luis Obispo, California
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- Must float between two units
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- 2 full years of experience in telemetry nursing
Clinical Setting
- Hospital-based travel assignment
- Med-surg/telemetry unit
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- No charge nurse
- Nurse aides available on all shifts
- Telemetry monitoring in place
- Nurses read strips
- No IV team
- Respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Pharmacy coverage is not 24/7
- Floor-specific orientation provided
Patient Population
- Surgical, orthopedic, medical, and cardiac-focused patients
- Stepdown-level acuity
- Post-cath, post-pacemaker, post-PCI, TAVR day 1+, CABG day 1+, sepsis, and respiratory distress cases
