Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour evening and night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active ACLS certification
• Active BLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Active PALS certification
• Active TNCC certification
• 2 years of ER experience
• Pediatric experience
• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
• Travelers are expected to triage patients

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Unit Details

• 38-bed combined Emergency and Urgent Care unit
• Adult and pediatric Level 2 trauma center
• STEMI receiving and stroke center
• 5 trauma bays/resuscitation rooms
• No separate fast track area
• ER holds are intermixed within the ER
• 4 dedicated psych rooms
• In-house security available 24/7
• No monitor techs
• X-ray and CT are available within the department
• RN scheduler assigns shifts; no self-scheduling
• Orientation is 3 days

Clinical Support

• ED physicians, mid-levels, and urgent care physicians on site
• Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 in house
• Techs can assist with IVs, labs, blood cultures, EKGs, and ADLs
• Paramedics are on staff and can assist with medications, discharges, and procedures

Additional Notes

• Solid-color scrubs are required
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• If previously worked at this facility, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
