Respiratory Therapist II - Pediatrics

• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Airway management
• Mechanical ventilator management
• ECMO management
• ACLS
• NRP
• PALS
• CPFT or Advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in Bronchoscopy Lab

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for pediatric patients, including airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and related treatments
• Perform respiratory care procedures such as arterial punctures, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations, extubations, and pulmonary function testing as needed
• May transport pediatric and neonatal patients and assist with advanced practice procedures under protocol
• May manage ECMO support when assigned
• May be required to take on-call shifts on days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Work Environment

• Functions independently with minimal supervision
• Serves as a resource to other staff
