RN - Step Down
Job Overview
- Location: Springfield, Missouri
- Employment type: Travel
- Specialty: Tele/Stepdown in the ED/ER
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Weekly hours: 36 or 48
- Assignment length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Stepdown (1 year of experience)
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- Telemetry experience
- ED - Emergency Department experience
Schedule / Assignment Notes
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Weekend hours are as required by the facility
- No call requirements
- RTO must be made up on the back end
- RTO is not approved in the first week of the assignment
- Only 1 holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment
Clinical Setting
- Emergency Department
- 68 beds
- Typical patient ratio is 4:1
- Level 1 trauma, Stroke, STEMI, and regional burn center
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Work Environment
- Must be able to stand and walk most of the shift
- Must be able to lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs
- Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
Preferred Experience
- Trauma/peds experience
- High-acuity experience
- Experience with 200+ patients per day
Dress Code
- Black scrubs
- Jeans and unprofessional attire are not allowed
