Registered Nurse - Postpartum

Assignment Details
- Acute care experience required
- Floating not required
- On-call not required
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- Acute Care experience
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Post Partum experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Lactation certification
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
Clinical Notes
- Common patient types include post-vaginal delivery, post-c-section delivery, intermittent postpartum magnesium, and postpartum hemorrhage
- Required medications/drips include IV antibiotics, intermittent IV magnesium, PRBC, Rhogam, and Lovenox
- Unit equipment includes blood pressure monitor, fetal monitor, venodynm machine, IV pump, panda warmer, and Medela breast pump
- Newborn patients
- 13 postpartum beds and 4 continuing care nursery beds
Additional Information
- Flu vaccine required during season
- Scrubs are provided
- Hospital system-wide orientation: 3 days
- Unit orientation: 3 days
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
