Description
RN Telemetry Travel Assignment
Overview
- Travel RN position in Springfield, Missouri
- Auto-offer role
- 1 opening
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Weekend coverage required as needed by the facility
- No call required
- Float assignment required on a rotational basis
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
- Driver's License
- Experience and competence in drug titration
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification from AHA
- Trauma experience
Unit and Patient Care
- Surgical telemetry unit
- 32 beds
- Patient population includes specialty surgery and post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidities
- Patient ratios vary by shift
Work Expectations
- Uses the nursing process to provide direct patient care
- Coordinates care with other departments
- Maintains patient rights and confidentiality
- Must be able to stand and walk most of the shift
- Requires bending, stooping, lifting, turning patients with assistance, and exposure to blood and body fluids
- May require pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, and pinching up to 15 lbs
Schedule and Assignment Notes
- RTO must be made up on the back end
- RTO is not approved during the first week
- Only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
- Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
Dress Code
- Black scrubs
- No torn clothes, open-toed shoes, or non-scrub attire
Compliance
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required from November 1 through April 1
- Declinations are not accepted
