Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location
- Plainfield, New Jersey
Contract
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
- Two Wednesdays per month as needed
- One Saturday per month
- No holiday requirement
- No on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in New Jersey
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ARRT
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Role Highlights
- Performs nuclear medicine procedures, including organ imaging, function studies, and therapeutic radioisotope support
- Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals
- Calibrates equipment and assays radionuclides
- Reviews images for proper identification and diagnostic quality
- Maintains radioactive material records and follows radiation safety and regulatory standards
- May rotate into Cardiology and PET/CT assignments
- Uses PACS and other patient/study processing systems for daily clerical duties
