Registered Nurse — Emergency Department
Overview
- Travel/contract role in San Francisco, California
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Role Highlights
- Provides direct nursing care in the ED
- Performs clinical procedures including IVs, Foley catheter care, and dressings
- Documents assessments thoroughly and accurately
- Supports patient and family education
- Uses tele monitoring, IV, ventilator, and safe medication administration practices
- Recognizes changes in patient condition and reports errors or near misses
- Works independently and collaboratively, with initiative and follow-up
