Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Springfield, Illinois
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
- Will work charge as needed
- Will float to other medical-surgical units
- Every other weekend required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Locals accepted
- Block scheduling may be accommodated, but not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
- Renal failure management
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line blood draw
- PICC line management
- Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac) management
- CPAP/BiPAP operation
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
- Non-invasive airway management
- Rapid Response Team experience
- Experience with Cerner
Assignment Details
- Average daily census: 23
- Unit size: 25 beds
- Guaranteed hours are subject to client call-off provisions
- RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
