Description
Registered Nurse - Telemetry Contract
Role Overview
- Provide safe, competent nursing care to assigned patients in a med surg/telemetry unit.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- Schedule: 3x12 with weekends required.
- Contract length: 9 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience.
- Telemetry experience within the last year.
- Critical Care Float experience.
- 1 year of travel experience for travel positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic experience is highly preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate patient care using the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and patient education.
- Support patient experience through communication, rounding, and service recovery.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety practices, and clinical documentation.
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
- Help manage supplies, staffing resources, and patient throughput.
