RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Travel RN position in Cape Girardeau, Missouri
- Specialty: Med Surg - Surgical
- Shift: Nights, 7p-7a
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Driver's License
- BLS
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- Post-surgical experience (non-OR post recovery) in urology, orthopedics, or general surgery
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- No call required
- May float to Med Surg and Progressive care areas
- Flu vaccination required for travelers from November 1 to April 1, unless client-approved exemption is granted
Unit Details
- Surgical unit with 23 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 1:6
- Post-surgical Med-Surg population
- Common patient mix includes urology, ortho, general surgery recovery, and medical overflow
Preferred Experience
- Peri dialysis experience
Work Environment
- Team-oriented communication is important
- Black scrubs required
