Description

RN MedSurg/Tele

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 8 hours per day
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

Registered Nurse role providing direct patient care on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, patient and family education, care coordination, discharge support, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

BSN
Previous nursing experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Administer and monitor patient care therapies and procedures
Educate patients and families
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
Delegate and oversee tasks appropriately
Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities
