RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Travel RN position in Hickory, North Carolina
- Specialty: Cardiac / telemetry
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: P/A
- 1 opening
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
Unit Details
- Telemetry unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratio: 4:1
- May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical
Clinical Focus
- Generalized cardiac patients from young adult to elderly adult
- Common cases include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-cardiac cath care, and VATS
Equipment / Skills

Schedule
- Every other weekend
Additional Notes
- Travelers must start on one of the listed orientation dates
- Candidates must live 60 miles or more away to be considered travel
- Any color scrubs are allowed
