Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
- 1 year of Electrophysiology Lab experience
- Driver's License
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required for travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS from AHA only
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub electrophysiology cases, including devices and ablations
- Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care if needed
- Support diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Clean equipment and supplies used in special procedures
- Train students and other technologists in special procedures
- Perform routine department duties when not assigned to special procedures
Work Environment
- Cardiovascular patient population
- 3 EP rooms
- Uses EP procedure room equipment
- Must be able to stand for up to six hours while wearing protective lead and PPE
- Requires handling angiography and interventional equipment, processing digital images, lifting and transporting patients, and responding to emergency or stressful situations
