RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location

  • Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Job Type

  • Travel RN
  • 36 hours per week
  • 3x12 shifts

Schedule Notes

  • Weekly orientation
  • No block schedule requests
  • 48-hour shifts may be considered, but are not guaranteed
  • Weekend coverage includes 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period
  • No on-call requirement, though scheduled shifts may be flexed to on-call twice during the contract

Unit Details

  • Medical-surgical telemetry unit
  • 40 beds
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Patient ratio: 1:6
  • Floating to IMC and ED is expected

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ACLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting

Preferred Experience

  • RN experience of at least 2 years
  • Preceptor experience
  • Charge experience

Patient Population

  • Total joint patients
  • Surgical patients
  • ACS
  • Patients with acute-on-chronic conditions such as CHF and CKD
  • Alcohol withdrawal
  • SIRS
  • GIB

Additional Notes

  • Black scrubs required
  • Open shoes are not allowed
