RN - Med Surg Telemetry
Location
- Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Job Type
- Travel RN
- 36 hours per week
- 3x12 shifts
Schedule Notes
- Weekly orientation
- No block schedule requests
- 48-hour shifts may be considered, but are not guaranteed
- Weekend coverage includes 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period
- No on-call requirement, though scheduled shifts may be flexed to on-call twice during the contract
Unit Details
- Medical-surgical telemetry unit
- 40 beds
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Patient ratio: 1:6
- Floating to IMC and ED is expected
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Preferred Experience
- RN experience of at least 2 years
- Preceptor experience
- Charge experience
Patient Population
- Total joint patients
- Surgical patients
- ACS
- Patients with acute-on-chronic conditions such as CHF and CKD
- Alcohol withdrawal
- SIRS
- GIB
Additional Notes
- Black scrubs required
- Open shoes are not allowed
