Overview

• Location: Paducah, Kentucky
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 0700-1930
• Hours per week: 36
• Schedule: Will work holidays and weekends; no special scheduling

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing experience
• BSN

Skills and Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge activities, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
• Performs and documents comprehensive assessments, identifies patient risk factors, develops prioritized problem lists, and implements care within RN scope of practice
• Communicates changes in patient condition, delegates appropriately, oversees delegated care, and supports discharge planning
• Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts, including patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing
• Uses computer systems and applications and can be trained on them
