Description

RN Stepdown ICU

Role

  • RN in the Progressive Care Unit / Tele floor
  • Stepdown ICU support
  • 1 opening
  • Nights, 4x12 schedule: 7p-7a
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
  • Call: none
  • Float: required as needed / customary upon request

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Stepdown experience (1 year)
  • Stepdown experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • EKG
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • 1+ years of critical care experience
  • Experience with tracheostomies
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation

Unit Details

  • Progressive Care Unit
  • Typical patient ratio: 4-6:1
  • Patients: adults only, 50% Medical / 50% Tele
  • Standard nursing equipment on Tele unit
  • EMR: EPIC

Schedule Notes

  • Weekend hours as needed
  • Night shift orients on day shift
  • Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
  • Expected to work at least one major winter holiday
  • Every other full weekend is the standard expectation

Contract Length

  • 26 weeks

Additional Notes

  • Auto-offer position
  • Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1-April 1, with only approved exemptions
