Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• Holidays: 2 of 3 holidays
• Call/standby may be required
• Self-scheduling is attempted when possible, but block scheduling is not guaranteed

Unit Details

• 24 inpatient beds
• May have up to 10 observation/day surgery patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 5:1 on day shift, 6:1 at 11pm
• Team nursing with LPNs: 2:7 ratios
• Charge nurse works with an assignment
• Nurse aides are on the unit
• Hospitalist/intensivist coverage is in house until 6pm daily, then telemedicine is used
• RT is available 24/7
• Tele/monitoring is done in ICU daily, with basic tele arrhythmia knowledge expected
• Limited resources onsite, including no IV team

Required Qualifications

• 1 year of MS/MS-tele experience
• Acute care experience
• BLS
• Must be comfortable with IV starts
• Must be able to float to like units and patients

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Experience or knowledge of TURPS-CBI
• Critical Access experience
• Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience

Clinical Notes

• Common diagnoses include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical cases such as ortho hips and knees, choles, appys, and TURPS-CBI
• Small pediatric population is not typically assigned unless prior experience or no other options
• RT equipment includes CPAP

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 80 miles are subject to reduced client rates
• If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, that must be noted in the submission, and any prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before submission
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Orientation includes computer education on day 1, shadowing for the rest of day 1, a 12-hour orientation shift on day 2, and working independently on day 3
